Skins, Skins And More Xbox Skins…

June 4th, 2010

I am very excited to see so many skin developers making there XBMC skins Xbox compliant and accessible from the site. This is sure good news for XBMC4Xbox members giving you the ability to totally change the appearance of XBMC to suit your own taste and allow a bit of uniqueness.

I think it was a stroke of genius by Craig to “Put out the call” for skins and thanks to Dan for uploading them to the site so quickly. Please, if you try a skin, give the designer a bit of feedback and this way it can only improve it’s functionality for the Xbox.

Xman.

Use SVN Repo Installer or XBMC SVN Installer to get some skins for your Xbox Media Center!

Yes Dan, Your dead right and I slap myself for forgetting to mention SVN Repo Installer. I’ve actually asked Craig if he could include it in his builds because with that one Pluggin, you can completely build your collection of Pluggins, Scripts And Skins and have the ability to update any as necessary. This allows “Customization” out of 1 Pluggin.

No worries, I just updated that section just yesterday – used the opportunity to mention it (new top Addons menu). The installers should get one started very quickly yes.

Suggestion: Can you make a prominent grid of major features in each skin description?

For instance: “Does the skin support 4:3?”, “Does the skin support 16:9?”

Running XBMC on XBOX, it can do both, of course.

But stating which skins support 4:3 would be great for XBMC on laptop users, as it will give those with laptops an option of seeing which will look great on their device as well.

Sure… my example benefits a small group, and is not part of the stated goal of “XBMC4XBOX”, but there are still folks running XBMC on XBOX on standard monitors / TV’s.

    It would be a timesaver.

    Thx.

Hi guys – just wanted to say Thank You for the site, I was tempted in starting one up myself, after recently realising that XBMC was not supported for XBOX any more (HOW BIZARRE !)

So I found a IRC chan on Freenode #xbmc4xbox and a kind chap called exobuzz pointed me to the site, when I suggested creating something the same… It looks great guys , if you ever want to concentrate on the other stuff and have someone else look after the site, please get in touch , although I wont idle the forums (I have very limtied XBMC skills (its been a while!!)) I really dont mind running the site on my host, servers and domains , or just some general help .. Holler at your Ninja

@ Kekkka- You can do what you want with my ramblings. What is your blog out of interest?. As for my Twitter account, no I don’t have one. XBMC4Xbox is my passion at present and it’s hard enough to juggle it with my other interests and hobbies. Sorry.
